Bio
Growing up near Leipzig, I had the typical millennial experience of waiting minutes for a website to load
to the beeping and scratching of my 56k modem in order to get my hands on some Nirvana album that I
could play on a 100Mb MP3 player on my way to school. When they started calling Leipzig Hypezig I finally escaped the
(nazi-infested) East German country life. My professional path first led me towards medicine
and into the emergency services. The interpersonal experiences there left their mark on me.
In my search for knowledge, psychology was interesting, but coding and statistics were more useful.
For me, data science ultimately combines the desire to learn, discover and tinker, as well
as a professional epistemic approach to reality.
